FONTAINE TAKES FOURTH IN 100 LAP SUPER LATE MODEL RACE WITH A LATE MODEL CAR DECEMBER 13TH AT CCMP Chris Fontaine and the CFI racing team took a crate Late Model engine and car to Charlotte County Motorsports Park to compete in the season ending 100 lap Super Late Model race, qualified seventh, started second after an inversion, and went home with a fourth place finish. "We were at 100 horsepower disadvantage for sure. It really showed on the straight-aways. But, we got the car turning in the middle of the turns, and we showed we could keep up with them and pass a few to get a top four finish. When we go
back and when we do race again with the Limited Late Models, we can get another win and show how fast and how hard we have been working to make that car fast," Fontaine said.
The December 13th race capped off Fontaine's best racing season since he started racing full-size cars in 2000.
In 1999, Fontaine was the MMRA Minicup National Indoor Champion and the North Florida Region MMRA Minicup Champion with 11 wins and 21 top five's of 23 races. Fontaine ends the 2008 season with four wins, ten top five's and fifteen top ten's out of 25 races. His first win of 2008 came at Desoto Speedway on August 16 in a 125 lap AACS race. The other three wins all came in October with a Super Late Model win at Auburndale Speedway, a Super Late Model win at Charlotte County Motorsports Park, and his first win on dirt at Ocala Speedway on October 31. "It was very exciting. It was a total team effort, and it took everybody concentrating and paying attention to everything they did and really trying to learn and look at some things out of the box," Fontaine
said of what it took to complete the season.
"Certainly the dirt races made a big difference. It helped a lot with car control and urgency. Because the races were only 20 laps, it really makes you feel like you gotta go right now," Fontaine said of what helped him turn his season around. "I am looking forward to whatever we race next year, and hopefully we can carry the momentum into the season and continue to do well and finish towards the front," Fontaine said. FONTAINE TAKES THE POLE AND THIRD PLACE FINISH IN CCMP LATE MODEL 75 ON 11 29 Chris Fontaine won the pole, started fifth after an inversion, and avoided the many wrecks to finish third in the Late Model 75 race at Charlotte County Motorsports Park last Saturday, Nov. 29. The pole is Fontaine's fifth pole to date in 2008, and the third place finish brings him up to nine top five finishes of 24 races. After the fifth place start, Fontaine in the Glenden Enterprises #47 got hung out on the outside groove when he went to pass the #38 car in front of him, putting him back a couple of spots.
But on lap 9, the #59 and #21 wrecked in turn four as the #59 tried to avoid hitting the #38. The #47 got caught up in the incident, bending the front bumper and the hood, but Fontaine was able to continue after pitting to remove the hood. Fontaine had to go to the rear of the field for the restart, but he worked his way up to the 12th spot by the caution on lap 19 and the restart on lap 22. By the next caution on lap 30, Fontaine had raced the #47 back into the ninth spot. He gained two spots to seventh by the caution on lap 46 for a wreck on the backstretch. Fontaine passed the #11 car for the sixth spot before a caution for a spin on lap 53. Two
laps after the restart, he got by the #38 for fifth place.
After three more cautions and some hard racing with the #59, Fontaine and the #47 moved up to fourth after one of the leaders hit the wall in turn two on lap 64. On lap 65, Fontaine and the #47 were sent to the back of the field when the #47 got together with the #59 coming out of turn four and the #59 spun on the front straightaway. Fontaine was eleventh on the lap 65 restart, and after a caution on lap 66 he was tenth. Fontaine gained a spot to ninth after a caution with four laps to go. After a flurry of cautions, wrecks and attrition, Fontaine was up to sixth with two laps to go. He raced side by side with the #97 for
the last two laps, and going through turns three and four on the last lap, Fontaine went to the outside as the #59, #11, and #97 got jammed up and wrecked.
Fontaine and the #47 crossed the finish line in third. The final race of the 2008 season for Chris Fontaine and the team will be the Super Late Model 125 at Charlotte County Motorsports Park on December 13. CHRIS FONTAINE TAKES HIS FIRST WIN ON DIRT AT OCALA FRIDAY 10-31-08
 Chris Fontaine got his first career win on a dirt track Friday, October 31, 2008 at Ocala Speedway in Ocala,FL. The win is the third race win in a row for Fontaine during the month of October. The other two wins included a 100-lap Late Model race at Charlotte County Motorsports Park on 10-25, and a 100-lap Super Late Model win at Auburndale Speedway on 10-11. Including his AACS Super Late Model win at Desoto Superspeedway on 8-16, Fontaine has four wins, five top five's and six top ten's of ten Late Model, Super Late Model and V-8 Thunderstock races run in 2008. "It was a lot of fun. I am glad it happened, and hopefully, we can go back there
and win a couple more", Fontaine said.
"We are just doing it for fun. It's not stressful and it's a lot of fun to be there. It's all about you and not making any mistakes. Every lap is different, so it is really exciting, unpredictable and a lot of fun," Fontaine said. In 1998, at the age of 16, Chris Fontaine got the first win of his racing career at Ocala Speedway in a minicup car. At that time, Ocala Speedway was a paved track. "It is great to win there. It is kind of ironic to get another first win there. It is exciting and I hope to get many more there," Fontaine said. Fontaine started the Glenden Enterprises #47 in the eight spot for the 20-lap feature event after starting eighth and finishing fifth in the heat race.
At the drop of the green flag, Fontaine quickly moved up three spots in turns one and two, getting together with and passing two other cars in the corner and one coming out of turn two. After a four lap dogfight with the #5, Fontaine and the #47 were running in the fourth spot. On the restart after a caution, the fight continued between the top four cars. One lap later, Fontaine was forced off the track when he got wedged between the #3 and #56 trying to get by the #56. Fontaine restarted in second still with only six laps completed. Going into turn one and two, he took the lead and proceeded to put several car lengths between himself and second place. By the caution on lap 11, he had a straightaway lead over
second place.

CHRIS FONTAINE WINS LATE MODEL 100 RACE ON 10-25 AT CHARLOTTE COUNTY SPEEDWAY 
Chris Fontaine set a new career record three wins in a season on Saturday 10-25-08 by winning the Late Model 100 race at Charlotte County Speedway in Punta Gorda,FL. The other two wins were an AACS Super Late Model win at Desoto
Superspeedway on August 16th, and a Super Late Model win at Auburndale Speedway on October 11.
"It is good for the team and everybody to get rewarded for all their hard work. I am proud of everybody and everybody's dedication. We finally got to win a couple," Fontaine said of his new record. Fontaine qualified the Glenden Enterprises #47 in the second spot, but started Saturday's race in the fifth position after an inversion. At the start of the race, Fontaine got under the #8 in turns three and four to take the fourth spot on lap one. Then two of the leaders got together in turns one and two, putting Fontaine in the second position on the fourth lap. 
On lap ten, Fontaine got under the #38 in turns three and four and raced him side by side down into turns one and two, where he pulled ahead to take the lead on lap 11. 
The #8, who had followed Fontaine under the #38 when he got loose, proceeded to give Fontaine a run for his money throughout the remaining 89 laps. By the caution on lap 15, the #47 and #8 were clearly the fastest two cars on the track, pulling away from the field by several car lengths. On the
restart, Fontaine in the #47 and the #8 continued their duel through a caution and lapping most of the field, all the way to the checkered flag.
Besides his ASASAT season where he finished fourth in points, so far this year, Fontaine has 3 wins, 4 top fives and 4 top tens of 6 Late Model and Super Late Model races run. He also has four poles to date, two at Desoto, one at Auburndale and one ASASAT pole at Anderson. During 2004 and 2006, Fontaine had
two wins each year in the AACS Super Late Model series at Desoto Superspeedway.
In 2006 he finished second in the AACS season points.
FONTAINE TAKES FOURTH IN THE ASASAT 2008 SEASON POINTS AFTER GETTING 13TH AT CORDELE Chris Fontaine finished out the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour 2008 season fourth in points after getting 13th in the race at Cordele last Saturday, October 18. Fontaine had qualified the Glenden Enterprises #47 Ford in the third spot to start the race. He moved up to the second spot and held it for several laps before getting hung out on the outside of a string of cars, backing him up to the eighth spot. After a caution for a wreck on lap 15, Fontaine fought it out with the #44 of Michael Pope for several laps
to take the seventh spot.
Pope and Fontaine continued their side-by-side battle for 10 more laps, until the #44 and the #10 got by the #47, putting him in the nineth spot. On lap number 49, Fontaine got his nose under the #89 to slide by into the eighth spot. On lap 59, Fontaine had to go off the track and into the grass on the outside of turn one because of a wreck in front of him. On the restart, the #47 was in the seventh position. On lap 69, a wreck between the leaders on turn one caught up the #47 when he slid into them. Although it damaged his left front quarterpanel, Fontaine was able to continue and on the restart he was in the fourth spot.
On lap #71 the #89, who was running underneath the #47 of Fontaine and the #26, turned up on them in turn four, sending all three cars into the wall. Fontaine's 13th place was good enough to secure his fourth place position in the 2008 ASASAT final points. "I thought we were going to be a lot better than that. We missed the setup a little bit, and a couple of things, right before the green flag some parts inside the car broke, and during the race there was a stupid incident that we will have to take care of the next time we race against him," Fontaine said of the Cordele race. He closes out the ASASAT 2008 season with three top fives, six top tens and one pole. "Considering the
competition it was a pretty good season. We had a pole and some top five finishes. We would have liked to have had a win, but we got a couple of wins in some other series, so it is good to know we can still do it and it gives us something to shoot for. Hopefully we can carry some of the momentum we have created into next year, and be successful in any direction that we decide to go," Fontaine said of the 2008 season.

CHRIS FONTAINE WINS SUPER LATE MODEL RACE AT AUBURNDALE SATURDAY, 10-11

Fontaine is fourth in the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour overall series points going into the last points race of 2008 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele,GA this Saturday. In the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour Beach Tour Regional points Fontaine ended the four race series in third. "Disappointing, we want to win," Fontaine said of his third place finish in the ASASAT Beach Tour. "We are going to try to make changes so that we can do better, and focus our efforts on winning races." The ASASAT has already run one race at Cordele back in April of this year. During that race, Fontaine qualified and started fourth, only
to get tangled up in a wreck on lap 75 that rolled the car several times before coming to rest on the outside of the backstretch. "We were good there before that wreck happened, so hopefully with some good luck we can run up front the whole race," Fontaine said.

FONTAINE LOCKS DOWN THIRD PLACE IN THE 2008 ASASAT BEACH TOUR REGIONAL POINTS WITH SEVENTH PLACE FINISH AT KENLY; HE IS FOURTH IN ASASAT OVERALL SERIES POINTS GOING INTO THE LAST POINTS RACE OF 2008 Chris Fontaine and the Glenden Enterprises #47 ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour race team finished last Saturday's Kenly 100 in seventh place to clench third place in the four-race ASASAT Beach Tour Regional points for 2008. Fontaine is fourth in the ASASAT overall series points going into the last points race of 2008 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele,GA on October 18. FONTAINE GETS 10TH AT HICKORY AFTER CHOQUETTE'S ENGINE IS DISQUALIFIED IN POST RACE INSPECTION Chris Fontaine fought an ill-handling car throughout the ASASAT Hickory 100 last Saturday at Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory,NC to finish in 10th after the apparent winner, Jeff Choquette was disqualified for having an illegal motor in post race inspection. Fontaine had started the race in the sixteenth spot of a tight field of cars. The top ten finish is Fontaine's fifth in the ten ASASAT races run this season. Fontaine also has three top five's in the series to date.

FONTAINE FINISHES IN 12TH PLACE AT LANIER DESPITE WEAK ENGINE Chris Fontaine and the Glenden Enterprises #47F ASASAT team brought a new car with a new color scheme to Lanier Speedway this past weekend and left with a 12th place finish. The team had engine challenges throughout the weekend, and Chris Fontaine qualified the #47F in the 23rd spot to start the James Garrison Memorial 100. During the race, the Glenden Enterprises team used cautions to make adjustments to try to improve the car, but with the engine running on less than eight cylinders, Fontaine had to focus on making it to the end of the race.
The finish was good enough to keep Fontaine's position of fourth in the 2008 ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour point standings, eight points ahead of fifth place, and 16 points out of third place in the tight ASASAT points race.

FONTAINE AND TEAM DEBUT NEW CAR AT LANIER Chris Fontaine and the Glenden Enterprises #47F ASASAT race team are headed to Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, Ga., for this weekend's ASASAT James Garrison Memorial 100. "We have a new car and we are looking forward to debuting it," Fontaine said. "Hopefully, it will be fast. It's one of our nicest, best cars we have built, by far. I can't wait to get it on the track up there." Fontaine has been on somewhat of a streak, capturing three poles in a row in less than a month by setting fast time in the AACS race at Desoto Speedway on September 6. The other two came on August 16th for the AACS race at Desoto and August 9th for the ASASAT race at Anderson,SC.
"Everybody at the shop has been working extra hard," Fontaine said Wednesday from the Auburndale Speedway, where he was testing his new car. "We ended up fast at Anderson, S.C., and that worked out. Then going back to Desoto, our home track more or less, we have a lot of laps there, and everything just kind of fell together really well."
Fontaine is currently fourth in the ASASAT point standings.
"It's a little disappointing," said Fontaine of his points position. "We have had some bad races, but maybe with the next four, with the tracks they are, I think we got a couple good ones that will suit my driving style and the cars we build. So if we can get a couple of good runs, I think we will move up."
The race will be televised on SportSouth in GA, SC, NC, AL, TN and MS- October 1 @ 7pm, October 2 @ 4pm, October 15 @ 7pm and October 16 @ 4pm. It will also be on TW Sports in Syracuse, NY on September 30 @ 4pm.

FONTAINE MAKES IT THREE POLES IN A ROW WITH FAST TIME AT DESOTO ON 9.6 Chris Fontaine made it three poles in a row by setting fast time at Desoto Speedway on September 6. The other two came on August 16th for the AACS race at Desoto and August 9th for the ASASAT race at Anderson,SC. Fontaine started Saturday's AACS 125 in the sixth position after an inversion. He raced the Glenden Enterprises #47 to the fifth position on lap 25 when the #75 got the #87 loose in turn four. For the next five laps Fontaine raced side by side with the #75 until he passed him on the front straight to take the fourth spot. After a restart on
lap 70 Fontaine's engine dropped a couple of cylinders and he had to go out of the race on lap 74. He was credited with 15th place for the race. The next race for Chris Fontaine and the Glenden Enterprises team will be this Saturday, September 13 when they will compete in the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour James Garrison Memorial 100 at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton,GA. FONTAINE WINS AACS 125 RACE AT DESOTO SPEEDWAY ON AUGUST 16
Chris Fontaine drove the Glenden Enterprises #47 Ford Fusion from the pole and a fourth place start all the way to the winner's circle in the AACS 125 race at Desoto Speedway on Saturday, August 16.
Fontaine had qualified on the pole for the race, but had to start in fourth after an inversion. It was the second time in as many starts that he had qualified in the top spot. The other pole was on August 9 in the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour race at Anderson Speedway in Anderson,SC.
The Desoto win comes almost exactly two years after his last race at the track. That race was an AACS race which he also won on the way to placing 2nd in the 2006 AACS points race. In 2007, Fontaine won the pole for the ASA Late Model Series race that was schedulled for the Desoto track, but the race was cancelled.
After starting Saturday's race in the fourth spot, Fontaine moved up to the third position after the leaders #00 and #75 spun on lap 2.
On lap 59, coming out of turn four, Fontaine followed the #83 under the #75 to take over the second position.
 
Fontaine in the #47 and David Wilson in the #83 had a dogfight for the top spot throughout the next 58 laps until the #83 got loose and spun in turns three and four.
 
On the restart Fontaine pulled away from the field and led the last seven laps to the finish to take his first win of the 2008 season.
ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour Event at Rockingham Cancelled
First ASA SAT Road Course Race Called Off Do to Economic Issues The American Speed Association Southeast Asphalt Tour announced today the event at Rockingham Raceway Park, (NC) scheduled for August 30th, has been cancelled. The race was supposed to be the first road course event in series history.
“The staff at Rockingham was extremely generous to work with,” said series owner John Kee. “The facilities were great and we we’re planning on a having a top notch show. The economics of staging a race with the size of the track and expenses of the television covering a large track were just too much for the Southeast Asphalt Tour.”
The next scheduled event for the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour will be The James Garrison memorial race on September 13th at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, Georgia.

FONTAINE QUALIFIES ON THE POLE AT ANDERSON SPEEDWAY
Chris Fontaine qualified the Glenden Enterprises #47F ASASAT car in the number one spot on August 9 at Anderson Speedway in Anderson,SC. It is Fontaine's first pole of the season.
After an inversion, Fontaine started the race from the 4th spot.
Fontaine worked his way up to the third spot before the car started falling off, allowing other cars to get by him.
A lapped car got into Fontaine in the latter stages of the race, spinning him and damaging the cars setup.
Fontaine finished the Anderson 100 in 14th spot to retain his 4th place position in the 2008 ASASAT series points.

The next ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour race for Lakeland Florida's Chris Fontaine and the Glenden Enterprises Ford Fusion #47F team will be this Saturday, August 9 at Anderson Speedway in Anderson,SC.
Fontaine is currently fourth in the 2008 ASASAT series points with three top five and four top ten finishes.
The Anderson race, as well as events at Rockingham,NC and Lanier,GA have been added to the inaugural season for the RC Cola / MoonPie ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour. Series officials announced that races are now scheduled at Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina on Friday and Saturday, August 29th and 30th, and at Lanier National Speedway in Georgia on Saturday, September 13th.
“We are excited about the addition to Rockingham and Lanier to our first season,” said series owner John Kee. “Rockingham has so much history, between NASCAR running there for so many years and Andy Hillenburg taking over this year, that we feel it is a privilege for the RC Cola / MoonPie ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour to be there. And then to add Lanier National Speedway, which is in the heart of our tour’s geographic area, is just a plus for the tour and the competitors involved.” The event at Lanier National Speedway on Saturday, September 13th, will be the inaugural “James Garrison Memorial,” a 100-lap event for the ASA Southeast Late Models. That date was originally occupied by an ASA SAT race at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, GA, but that event has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 18th.
The ASA Southeast Late Models will compete on the road-course at Rockingham Speedway. That weekend previously was slated for South Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC. Instead of the event being a Saturday-Sunday show, it is now scheduled for a Friday (August 29th) practice session with a Saturday (August 30th) race date to accommodate the tour’s teams.
More details regarding both events and the promotions surrounding it will be forthcoming. A revised television schedule for ASA SAT will also be announced shortly. Two events at Myrtle Beach Speedway, on August 16th and October 18th, have been cancelled.
Also, the October 4th race at Concord Motorsport Park has been removed from the schedule. It has been replaced by an October 4th race at Southern National Raceway Park in Raleigh,NC.

Concord Motorsport Park Removed from ASA SAT Schedule

ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour officials announced today it has removed their scheduled event at Concord Motorsport Park in North Carolina from its calendar for 2008. The event was slated for Saturday, July 26th.
“It is unfortunate, but several circumstances out of our control constituted this change,” said series owner John Kee. “We are about putting on great shows with our teams and putting people in the seats for our marketing partners and we did not see that as a possibility for this event because of several issues not within our power to fix. We are making a few changes to our series right now that will enhance the marketing power for our sponsors and the value for our teams and we are looking forward to announcing them in the coming weeks.”
Currently, Jay Middleton leads Taylor Satterfield, John Bolen, Chris Fontaine and Preston Peltier in the chase for the inaugural RC Cola / MoonPie ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour championship.

CHRIS FONTAINE GETS ANOTHER TOP FIVE FINISH AT DILLON,SC Chris Fontaine finished fifth in the“SENECA Tobaccoville USA 100” at Dillon Motor Speedway in Dillon,SC on Saturday, June 14. He started the Glenden Enterprises Ford Fusion #47 on the outside pole after qualifying fourth and an inversion. "It is a fun track to race. We missed the setup a little bit out of turn four, and if we go back, I am sure we can do a little better. I wish we could have won," Fontaine said. Fontaine ran third for most of the night until the car in front of him had a problem on a restart at lap 66. "On the restart something broke (on the guy in front of me), and you
are not supposed to pass until you get to the start-finish line. When I waited for him I got passed. So, I made a mistake and I will try not to do it again. Since that guy broke it really messed us up. It was unfortunate that that happened and it cost us two spots. I think we could have finished third if that wouldn't have happened," Chris Fontaine explained. Fontaine is fourth in both the overall ASASAT series points and the ASASAT Beach Tour. Chris Fontaine and the #47F Glenden Enterprises race team are headed to Dillon Motor Speedway this Saturday, June 14, to race in the first RC Cola/Moonpie ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour race at the Southeast's newest racetrack.
“We will just go there Friday night and test to see how fast we can get. We have two cars to try, and we will just see what the track has to bring to us.”
The sixth race for the RC Cola / MoonPie ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour is also the tour’s first trip to the Palmetto State.
Fontaine currently has two top five and three top ten finishes in the five series races run to date in the 2008 season.
The 26-year-old from Lakeland/Auburndale, FL is fourth in the series points going into this weekend.
“We had two bad races and we are still fourth (in points), so we just need to get some more strong races and cancel those out and try and move up and take over the lead,” Fontaine said.
“We need to have a good run against the people we are trying to beat in the points and come out on top,” Fontaine said, adding, “The goal is to win, win, win.”

CHRIS FONTAINE AND TEAM TAKE 7TH AT SENOIA:FONTAINE UP TO 4TH IN ASASAT POINTS AND 4TH IN ASASAT BEACH TOUR POINTS
Chris Fontaine finished the "Atlanta Southern 100" ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour race in seventh place last Saturday, May 31. The finish moves Fontaine up to fourth in the 2008 ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour points.
Fontaine started the race from the outside pole, and battled side-by-side with the #26 of Travis Cope for almost two laps before the caution came out. On the restart, Fontaine was the leader and held the top spot for 6 laps until the second caution came out. Cope got back by Fontaine by going underneath him in turn two on the restart.
"It felt good. It has been a long time coming," Fontaine said of what it felt like to lead at Senoia. "The cautions really hurt us, and I felt like if we could have had a long green-flag run in the middle I felt like I could have gotten the lead again after I got passed," Fontaine said.
Fontaine battled Cope for the lead for the next 67 laps and numerous cautions before the #10 got by him when he lost momentum on the backstretch.
With 11 laps to go,on the frontstretch the #98 clipped the #47F's rear, upending the #98 and sending it into the wall before it landed on its top sliding into turn one. The flip bought out the red flag to stop the race.
Although Fontaine continued and finished the race after the incident, "The car was terrible after the red flag," he said.
Fontaine said of the newly developed ASA Beach Tour and the opportunity it presents in his run for the points lead,"I just want to win the whole thing. How it turns out in that is how it turns out. I just want to win the big points."
Championships are hard to win, and every driver would love to be crowned as the inaugural RC Cola / MoonPie ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour Champion and pick up the $10,000 check that comes along with it.
With travel costs being so high these days, not every team can compete in every race. With that in mind, ASA SAT officials announced another point fund to reward racers on a regional basis. Along with the overall championship, three regional champions will be crowned in ASA SAT and each will receive $2,500 for their accomplishment
The announcement also outlined the three specific regions; the Beach Tour for races at tracks near the coasts of Alabama, Florida and South Carolina; the Blue Ridge Region for events in South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee, and finally the Carolina Clash, which includes shows in South Carolina and North Carolina. “It adds a new element to the series and gives guys the opportunity to not have to run all 15 races to compete for a region championship,” said Stan Narrison, Promotions Director of ASA Southeast. “The five-race regional champions will get $2,500 and they will be crowned champion at the banquet. In addition, the top-ten guys in each region will also be awarded extra money on top of the overall crown point fund.”
The Beach Tour (South Region) has already completed three of its events, one in Alabama at Mobile International Speedway (AL) and the other two in Florida at USA International Speedway and Bronson Motor Speedway. The two remaining events will occur at Myrtle Beach Speedway.
Chris Fontaine and the 47F team are currently fourth in the Beach Tour points, as well as the overall points.

Chris Fontaine and team travel to New Senoia Speedway in Senoia,GA this week to race in the "Atlanta Southern 100" ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour race on Saturday, May 31st.
Last year, he qualified on the pole, started sixth after an inversion, and finished third in the 125 lap ASA Late Model Series Southern Division race at the .375-mile track.

CHRIS FONTAINE BACK UP TO 6TH IN ASASAT POINTS AFTER FINISHING FOURTH AT BRONSON
Chris Fontaine finished fourth in the Gator 100 at Bronson Speedway last Saturday night to move back up to sixth place in the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour points race. Fontaine qualified the Glenden Enterprises #47f Ford Fusion in fourth, and he started on the outside front row after an inversion. 
It was not an easily gotten top five however, Fontaine was spun twice during the race. “That was just part of it,” Chris said,continuing,”That is to be expected. I did some of it; people did it to me. It was fun." "We had a disappointing fourth, and I wish we could have done better,”Chris said, continuing,”Anything but a win is going to be disappointing because that is what we want to do.”
Fontaine said he liked the 3/8 mile track at Bronson. That’s what we have run a lot on. If you do loose it, there are not a lot of consequences there. You can save the car," he said. Chris Fontaine and the Glenden Enterprises, Arp Bodies, Speed 51 Ford Fusion #47F team had engine problems from qualifying all the way through Saturday's RC Cola/Moonpie ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour race in Lakeland on Saturday.
After practicing a respectable 11th fastest on Friday, Fontaine's time fell off in Saturday's practice to 26th fastest.
The team did improve the car some before qualifying, allowing Fontaine to secure the 16th spot in qualifying.
But even several pit stops could not keep the car up to the speeds that the field was averaging.
Fontaine did stay out of trouble and finished the race in 27th.
The Lakeland 125 will be televised on Sportsouth on May 21st.
The next event for Chris Fontaine and the team is the Gator 100 at Bronson Motorspeedway on Saturday, May 10.
It will be the fourth event on the 2008 RC Cola / MoonPie ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour.

Chris Fontaine and the Glenden Enterprises, Arp Bodies, Speed 51 Ford Fusion #47F team are preparing for round number three of the RC Cola / MoonPie ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour this Saturday, May 3rd, at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, FL.
Fontaine has had mixed success at the 3/4 mile track during the seven years he has been in Late Model and Super Late Model races there.
He has been involved in wrecks several times, and had major mechanical problems several times, each of which took him out of contention.
But, he also has had a fifth, fourth and a second place finish in recent years.
"I just want to finish this one and get it out of the way and get ready for Bronson," Chris Fontaine said. Last year Fontaine set the fast time during qualifying for the ASA Late Model Series race at Bronson.
He is currently ninth in ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour points going into Lakeland, and he says he hopes to improve on that this weekend.

RC Cola / MoonPie ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour officials announced a consistent time slot for all televised races on its flagship cable partner, SportSouth, in 2008. In fact, the series debut on SportSouth has changed to a primetime slot of 7pm, Wednesday night, May 7th.
SportSouth has now scheduled the ASA SAT events in that prime Wednesday evening slot throughout the summer and fall. Additionally, RC Cola/Moon Pie ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour events will begin airing nationally in June on AmericaOne, and within the next few weeks on MavTV and AMGTV. Other regional affiliates in Rochester, NY, and Detroit will join the network in the coming weeks as well.
This Saturday night’s “Lakeland 125” at USA Int’l Speedway in Florida will premiere May 21st on SportSouth and May 17th on Sports Time Ohio. FONTAINE TAKES "WILD RIDE" IN WRECK ON LAP 76 AT CORDELE
Chris Fontaine qualified the Glenden Enterprises #47F Ford Fusion in the sixth position for the start of the "Watermelon 100" at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele,GA last Saturday. Fontaine was one of eight drivers in the ASASAT to break the Watermelon Capital Speedway track record.

By lap five he was into the fifth position, and moved up to fourth by lap 10.
Fontaine's car was damaged on lap 15 when Sean Bass got into his left front on the front stretch. Fontaine's crew made quick repairs to the car, but he had to restart in the back.
On lap 76, Chris Fontaine was working his way through the traffic when a wreck off turn two including Gene Kirila, Jeremy Mullinax, and Steve Renner collected Fontaine's car. Fontaine got the worst of it as he barrel-rolled several times in the grass outside second turn.
 
Safety crews were immediately on the scene and all drivers, including Fontaine, were reported okay. Their racecars, however, were not.
Fontaine was credited with 21st position in the race. He is currently ninth in the ASASAT points race after two of 17 races.
"We were disappointed about the car, the results. The qualifying went good. We can be proud of that. All the guys can be proud of the qualifying and how safe they built the car for me so I didn't get hurt," Fontaine said, continuing, "It was just a racing deal."

"We had a good first race finishing fourth, and it is the first top five of the year for us. I believe we can carry that momentum into Cordele where we had some success last year. An early incident messed the car up, but we still finished sixth. We had a winning car, but that incident messed us up," Fontaine said, continuing, "It will be my second time at the track and hopefully there will be no more surprises. We are going to get there a few days early and test and see how fast we can get."
Last year, Fontaine and the team finished the season in the ASALMS South points in fifth place and third in the rookie points. Fontaine is currently fourth in the points in the ASASAT series after their inaugural race at Mobile,AL last month.

CHRIS FONTAINE FINISHES FOURTH IN THE ASA SOUTHEAST ASPHALT TOUR OPENER AT MOBILE ON MARCH 22
 Chris Fontaine worked his way through a caution-filled race at Mobile International Speedway this weekend to finish fourth.
He had qualified 26th in a tight 36-car field, with all but one car qualifying in the 17 second bracket, to start the inaugural ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour race.
"It is a very fast track", Fontaine said.
The many cautions, caused by wrecks and cars going over the edge of the wall less corners stretched the 100 lap race to several hours.
"We might have had a gallon left," Chris Fontaine Racing Crew chief Kevin Ingram said after the race.

It will be his first race in the new series, which is part of the original ASA Racing series out of Daytona Beach,FL.
"Our main goal is to try and establish that we can run up front in this new series. We want to figure out which combination of engine package is going to work and be the best. And, so we have a couple of goals to figure out. We just want to finish well and learn as much as we can," Fontaine said.
"We have been to the track before. It will be our second time there, so that won't be a new surprise. We are just looking forward to getting racing again, and getting a new season off to a good start," he said.

Chris Fontaine and team are taking on a new challenge for the 2008 racing season by moving to the new ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour. Their first race will be at Mobile International Speedway on Saturday, March 22nd.
"Mainly the TV coverage we are going to get," Fontaine said of his reason for switching to the new series.
Ten races will be televised via tape delay across the United States via a network of leading sports channels on both cable and satellite.
The Tour consists of 15 points races covering a six state area, at several historic race tracks .
"Eighty percent of the tracks we got to run last year, so, hopefully the new track issue won't be as much. We are working with all the same people this year so everybody should know how to work together, and we are going to try and put a championship season together," Fontaine said.
The schedule begins at Mobile International Speedway Saturday, March 22nd. The track, which is based in the heart of the Deep South racing community, draws some of the best drivers from around the Southeast. This Fast oval has seen great races over the years and the inaugural Southeast Asphalt Tour 100 lap Event is posed to be one of the finest.
The series also includes a unique points program that is divided into three five race points segments that are geographically grouped. For those who want to travel to all the races, there is also an overall points payout.
"It is great, first we have got to put together wins and wins will turn into a championship. So one race at a time, and that is how we are going to go into it," Fontaine said.

FONTAINE RACES TO A 5TH PLACE FINISH IN THE LEROY PORTER AACS 125
After qualifying eighth to start the Leroy Porter AACS 125 at Desoto Superspeedway on Saturday, February 23, Chris Fontaine raced the Glenden Enterprises Ford Fusion #47 to a fifth place finish.
The rain-shortened practice session did not give the team enough practice to perfect the setup.
It was a tight qualifying field for the start of the race with only 0.20 separating Fontaine from the pole.
At the start of the race, Fontaine was on the outside and got locked into a five-lap side by side battle with the #10 car before getting shuffled back to the 10th spot.
The #47 and #10 continued to bump and rub until on lap 88 the #10 got loose in turns 3 and 4 and slid into the wall.
On the restart on lap 92 Fontaine was in the seventh position.
On lap 124 the two cars in front of Fontaine got together in turns three and four and spun.
Fontaine went between them and moved into the fifth spot and held onto it for the green-white-checker finish.
CHRIS FONTAINE TO RUN DESOTO SUPERSPEEDWAY SEASON OPENER

This weekend Chris Fontaine and team are going to Desoto Superspeedway in Bradenton,FL to try to repeat the dominating victory he won there in the track's 2004 season opener. That race he led the majority of the 125 laps and finished several seconds ahead of the second place car.
"I am looking forward to getting to race at Desoto again. We are going to go down there and try to get a win and have a good,dominant run," Fontaine said.
"I hope to start off there better than we did at Lakeland," he said of last month's Speedfest at USA Speedway.

"We are going somewhere that we have had better success in the past and we hope for the best," Fontaine said.
Fontaine got 2 wins in 2004 and 2 wins in 2006 in the AACS series at Desoto. He finished 2nd in points in the track's AACS series in 2006.

After finishing in 4th in Friday’s 25-lap ASA Southern Division Qualifyer, Chris Fontaine started the Glenden Enterprises #47 Ford Fusion in the 8th spot for the 100-lap ASA Crate Late Model Challenge between the North and the South’s top 20 cars.
A coin-toss before the race determined that the North Division would get the inside line for the starting lineup.
By lap 30 Fontaine had worked his way up to 6th, when he got into a side-by-side race with Wayne Morris for 5th.
After a lap-long drag race and trading some paint with Morris, Fontaine took the 5th spot on lap 41.
On lap 59, Fontaine crashed hard into the turn-one wall after contact with Michael Pilla.
Fontaine was credited with 15th in the final standings.
Fontaine gets under Morris in turn two on lap 40.
The two got into a lap-long drag race, running side-by-side down the backstretch, through turns three and four, and down the front.
Fontaine took the advantage in turn two to take the fifth spot.

After qualifying the Glenden Enterprises Ford Fusion #47 in 3rd for the start of the ASA South 25-lap race, an inversion put the Lakeland, Florida driver on the pole.
Fontaine was at the top of the speed charts for much of the qualifying session, until Travis Cope and Wayne Morris turned faster laps.
Fontaine got a slow start at the drop of the green flag, allowing Cope, Morris and Travis Wilson to get by going into turn one.
Throughout the race, Fontaine stayed on Wilson's bumper, making contact several times and trying to get by in turns 1 and 4, but 25 laps just wasn't enough time.
Fontaine will get more time tonight in the 100-lap Crate Late Model Challenge 100 that starts at 8:00 pm.

Lakeland's Fontaine Aims for Success at Speedfest

During his rookie season on the ASA Late Model Series circuit in 2007, Chris Fontaine finished fifth overall in the standings.
While most racers would consider that a successful season, the Lakeland native was not satisfied with his finish.
"Overall, it looked all right," said Fontaine of his freshman season. "We were disappointed with it. We want to win some races and win the championship."
Fontaine, 26, will have his first opportunity to chase a checkered flag this weekend during Speedfest 2008 at USA International Speedway in Lakeland.
"We're going to try to go for the pole and go for the win and see how it turns out," Fontaine said.
Fontaine will participate in the South ASA Crate Late Model 25 on Friday night and attempt to race his way in to the Crate Late Model Challenge 100 on Saturday night.
"I like the track because it's my hometown track but it's one that I haven't had the success at that I'm looking for," Fontaine said. "We think that we finally have a car that can put us up front and contend for the win."
A strong finish at USA Speedway would give Fontaine momentum going into the season. Fontaine has practiced and tested at USA Speedway recently in hopes of performing well during the ASA season opener.
"We think we can do better and we're looking to prove that," Fontaine said. "I think we established that we can be a team that can run up front and we just have to put together the finishes to prove it."
Fontaine isn't the only local racer hoping to do well at Speedfest. Kevin Macy (Bartow), Steve Smith (Lakeland), Wayne Morris (Mulberry) and Travis Wilson (Bartow) are expected to compete with Fontaine in the Late Model division, while George Crenshaw (Lakeland) is entered to compete in the Super Late Model division against a group that includes NASCAR drivers Kyle Busch and David Stremme.
The NOS Energy Drink 200 presented by Goodyear will be the second main event race during Speedfest on Saturday night, starting immediately after the Crate Late Model Challenge 100, and will showcase the Super Late Models.
Busch has tested at USA Speedway several times in the past few weeks, as well as at Daytona International Speedway, and may be a force to reckon with on the 3/4-mile oval.
Busch will drive his own Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota for the Speedfest event.
The gate opens at 3:30 p.m. today for practice, which will last until 8 p.m., with divisions switching out every 30 minutes.
On Friday, the grandstands open at 1 p.m., which also marks the start of practice, which runs until 4 p.m. Super Late Model qualifying begins at 5 p.m., with the South qualifying first. The South will also qualify first in the Crate Late Models, which begins at 6:15 p.m. pre-race ceremonies kick off at 7:30 p.m.
The green flag drops for the South ASA Crate Model 25 at 8 p.m., followed immediately by the North ASA Crate Late Model 25, the South Super Late Model 100, then the North Super Late Model 100.
On Saturday, the grandstands open at 2 p.m. Practice runs from 2-3:30 p.m., followed by a tire scuff session for all cars at 4:30 p.m. Qualifying for remaining cars will be at 5:30 p.m.
The on-track autograph session is slated for 6:30 p.m., followed by pre-race ceremonies at 7:30 p.m. and Last Chance races. The Crate Late Model Challenge 100 is scheduled for an 8 p.m. start, followed by the Speedfest Super Late Model NOS Energy Drink 200.
Thursday's practice sessions are free to the public, but pit admission is $25. For Friday and Saturday, frontstretch tickets are $30, backstretch tickets are $20 and children under 10 are admitted for $10. Pit admission for Friday and Saturday is $35.

For the next installment of “Meet the ASALMS Teams” it’s time to meet Lakeland, Florida driver, Chris Fontaine. During the 2007 season in the ASALMS Southern Division, Fontaine finished Fifth Overall and Third in the Rookie of the Year title. In addition, the Lakeland, Florida driver also finished 17th in limited appearances within the ASALMS Challenge Division
The 26-year-old also two appearances in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series where he finished 17th and 20th at the Mansfield (OH) Motorsports Park and Memphis (TN) Motorsports Park respectively. Plans for 2008 call for the Sunshine State driver to make a run for the 2008 ASALMS Southern Division Championship as well as make select appearances in the ASALMS Challenge Division.

Chris Fontaine and the Chris Fontaine Racing Team will begin their 2008 racing season this weekend in the ASA Late Model Series 2008 season opener, Speedfest 2008/Crate Late Model Challenge 100 at Lakeland's USA Speedway.
Practice will begin Thursday at 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Practice on Friday begins at 1:00 pm, qualifying at 6:15 pm, and the South Crate Late Model 25 begins at 8:00 pm.
On Saturday, practice begins at 2:00 pm, an on-track autograph session at 6:15 pm, and the Crate Late Model Challenge 100 at 8:00 pm.
Fontaine will be driving the Glenden Enterprises sponsored #47.

Lexington, Michigan (01/14/2008): When your rookie season in the ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts shows you finished Fifth Overall and Third in the freshman title chase, most drivers would consider that a really good year considering the talent level of all the divisions within the ASALMS.
For Lakeland, Florida driver, Chris Fontaine though, he wasn’t happy at all with 2007 and for 2008 wants to prove that for one, there won’t be a “Sophomore Slump” and two, he will be going all out for the 2008 ASALMS Southern Division Championship!
The chase for the 2008 ASALMS Southern Division Championship begins in the Sunshine State at one of the tracks where he recorded one of his three Fast Qualifier Awards; The Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway. The Bronson 100, the 2008 ASALMS South Season Opener is set for Friday and Saturday March 28-29, 2008 in Bronson, Florida.
“In 2007 we established that we could be competitive and a front running team with three Fast Qualifier Awards and some solid finishes.” Stated Fontaine as he and his Glenden Enterprises Team prepare for the 2008 racing season. “We are going to continue that momentum in 2008, try to get some wins, and put together a Championship winning season!” He added.
The 2008 racing season for Fontaine and his Chris Fontaine Racing Team will actually begin with the “Non-Points” Crate Late Model Challenge 100, which is a part of SpeedFest 2008 on Thursday-Saturday, January 24-26, 2008 at the USA (FL) International Speedway in his native Lakeland, Florida. Fontaine also plans on select appearances within the ASALMS Challenge Division as well in 2008.
“We started out last season in Chevrolets before switching over to Fords at the halfway point of the season.” Continued the 26-year-old. “Beginning with Lakeland, we’re going to start out with the Ford. We definitely want to win Lakeland, no question about it, but the big picture is the 2008 ASALMS Southern Division title and this race will be a good test for us.” He ended.
During the 2007 season in the ASALMS Southern Division, Fontaine finished Fifth Overall and Third in the Rookie of the Year title chase racking up Three (3) Top Five finishes with a season high of a Third in the Senoia 125 Presented by FLF Racecars at the New Senoia (GA) Raceway on September 15, 2007.
Fontaine also grabbed Six (6) Top 10 finishes and Eight (8) Top 15 showings. Fontaine also registered a season high Three (3) Fast Qualifier Awards with the first coming in the Camp Boggy Creek 100 Presented by Pennzoil and Dalton Zehr Racing at the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway.
The second Fast Time was in the same event at New Senoia Raceway where he finished Third. The final Fast Qualifier Award came in the cancelled Seafest 100 at the Desoto (FL) Super Speedway. He finished Third in the Final 2007 ASALMS Southern Division Rookie of the Year Points Standings.
In addition, the Lakeland, Florida driver also finished 17th in limited appearances within the ASALMS Challenge Division. In Seven (7) races, he scored Three (3) Top 15 finishes with a season high of a 13th place finish on Two (2) occasions.
The first came in the Glass Breaker 200 at the Toledo (OH) Speedway on April 21, 2007. His second 13th place showing was in the Benson International / Crate American Race 200 at the Bristol (TN) Motor Speedway on August 4, 2007.
Fontaine also made two appearances in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series where he finished 17th and 20th at the Mansfield (OH) Motorsports Park and Memphis (TN) Motorsports Park respectively.
Fontaine began his racing career in 1998 at the age of 16 driving minicup race cars. He became interested in auto racing after spending three years playing ice hockey on a junior league in his hometown of Lakeland, Florida.
In his first year of racing, he racked up Two Feature Wins, and finished in the Top Five in 13 of 14 races. In 1999, Fontaine won the MMRA Minicup National Indoor Championship as well as the North Florida Region MMRA title.
In 2000, Fontaine moved up to Late Models and got his first win in a FASCAR feature race at Orlando (FL) Speedworld. His record for that year stood at One Feature Win, Five Top Fives and 11 Top 10 finishes out of 20 races ran.
He took 3rd place in the 2000 FASCAR series points and 13th in the 2000 SARA series points. In 2001, the Lakeland, Florida driver moved up and ran a limited schedule in the NASCAR All Pro Series where he finished 22nd and 26th place finish in limited appearances both seasons.
Also in 2002, Fontaine attempted to run in the NASCAR Busch Series as the team purchased a car from veteran driver, Joe Nemechek, and with the assistance of his team and driver Jeff Fuller, tried out for races at Dover, Memphis, and Nashville.
In 2003, Fontaine returned to his home state of Florida and results were immediate. With 11 Top Fives and an impressive 16 Top 10s out of 35 races. He finished 13th in the 2003 FASCAR points, and Ninth in the Desoto (FL) Super Speedway based All-American Challenge Series Points Standings, despite having missed several races in each series.
Fontaine started the 2004 season off with a win in the first All-American Challenge Series event and ended the 2004 season with another win in the next to last AACS series race of the year. Throughout the season, he recorded Two Feature Wins, Six Top Fives, and Nine Top 10 showings out of 16 total races in the series to clinch fifth place in the 2004 AACS series points standings.
He also appeared in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series and I-Power Dash Series. In 2005, he finished Third in the Florida Triple Crown points. He also finished Ninth in the 2005 AACS points and 10th in the FASCAR Sunbelt Super Series points, despite not running the full schedule of races in each series.
Fontaine accumulated Five Top Five finishes and 12 Top 10s out 23 Super Late Model races he raced in during 2005. He also made three appearances in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck races driving for Bobby Hamilton Racing.
During the 2006 season, Fontaine finished second in points in the All American Challenge Series Desoto. In addition, he competed in traveling FASCAR Sunbelt Series where he finished a solid 10th in the final points standings. Overall in 2006, Fontaine recorded Two Feature Wins, 12 Top Fives and an impressive 19 Top 10’s out of 25 races.
